A complicated product. An open-ended AI task. A lesson that needs a useful first step.
My work connects UX design, research, applied AI, and learning to make those moments easier to act on.

Who gets to
feel capable?
We keep making technology more capable. Are we making people more capable of using it?
An impressive system can still leave someone wondering what to do next. That gap is where my work in UX research, design, and AI education meets.
I look at the choices a product asks people to make, the assumptions hiding inside those choices, and what helps someone act with understanding. Sometimes the useful next invention is a better question.
Inside the work · Oak AI audience research
Interest is
not a plan.
What keeps an engaged audience from taking action?
I led survey design, launch, and analysis, connecting quantitative questions with open responses. The reported obstacles included difficult choices, limited time and money, unclear steps, and doubts about impact.
The design implication: more information alone would not resolve every obstacle. I translated the findings into recommendations for a proposed Action Hub, including clearer first steps and editable templates.
A voluntary audience survey informed a product direction. It did not establish product adoption or a change in behavior.

What gets in the way?
Different barriers. Different questions.
Reported barriers to taking action
Voluntary self-report. Per-item response bases are unavailable. These are reported barriers, not measured outcomes. Items may overlap; do not add the percentages.

Room for another kind of world.
At the game table, the questions become choices inside a story. Game Master Kyle hosts the tabletop side of Fresh Curiosity, where campaigns keep their own settings and identities.
